
Valuation Appeals
Taxpayers may appeal their property's assessed value if they believe it is inaccurate by submitting evidence to the Board of Equalization.
- September 15: Deadline to file an appeal for any reason to have your property value reviewed by the Board of Equalization.
- March 31: Deadline for filing a late appeal. Additional criteria must be met, and the petition must be accepted by the Board of Equalization before it will be reviewed.
Appeals can be submitted electronically via the online appeal system, by email, U.S. mail, or in person.
- Online or email: Must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM on the deadline date.
- U.S. mail: Must be postmarked by the deadline date.
- In-person: Must be delivered to the Tax Administration office before 5:00 PM.
File an Appeal
If you believe the assessed market value of your property is incorrect, you can file an appeal with the Utah County Board of Equalization. While Utah County strives for accurate valuations, errors can occur. Utah County is committed to adjusting values appropriately through the appeal process. Appellants who provide credible documentation specific to their property that clearly supports their requested value will see an adjustment made.

Appeal Form PDF for appeals filed on or before September 15.
